From Hat Yai the Malaysian border is 1 to 2 hours away depending on which border crossing you use. For a visa stamp at the border the most convenient entry point to Malaysia is at Padang Besar. Travel from Hat Yai Station
Hat Yai Railway Station is right in the centre of Hat Yai city. The bus station is about 2 km outside of the city and its a 40 to 60 THB by motorbike taxi. If you are heading to the Malaysian border then you have the choice of taking a minivan from the main bus station to either Sadao or Pedang Besar, whichever is more convenient in relation your onward travel in Malaysia.
