Covid-19 Update: From the 1st May 2021 more long distance trains are cancelled

1 May 2021: In response to an increase in the number of covid-19 cases in Thailand, and a decrease in the number of people travelling, the number of long distance train services has been reduced again along with a timetable change for trains to Chiang Mai. Trains are still operating on all major routes in Thailand just less of them.

Only 2 train services a day from Bangkok to Chiang Mai are now operating:
