About Travel to Ubon Ratchathani

Travel to Pakse in Laos

Ubon Ratchathani is a fairly large city located right at the eastern end of the Southern section of Thailand’s North Eastern Railway Line. From Ubon Ratchathani you can carry on the journey eastwards into Laos via a bridge over the Mekong River. Local bus services take 2 hours to travel from Ubon Ratchathani to Pakse in Southern Laos. Pakse is Laos’s second largest town and a transport hub for bus services to the popular 4,000 Island Region and for tours of the vast Bolaven Plateau.
