Trang is one of two convenient places to catch a train if you are travelling from Koh Lipe. About Travel to Trang
The journey from Koh Lipe to Trang Railway Station has two parts. The first stage of the journey is by speed boat to Pak Bara Pier on the mainland. Speed boats depart from Pattaya Beach in Koh Lipe during the holiday season from November to end of April each year. When the weather gets worse and the waves higher, roughly from May to October each year, the departure point changes to Sunrise Beach. Speed boats leave directly from floating plastic pontoons attached to the shore. The distance from Koh Lipe to Pak Bara Pier is approximately 65 km and the journey by speed boat is scheduled to take from 1 hour 20 minutes to 2 hours depending upon who you travel with.
Platform 1 at Trang Railway StationOn arrival at Pak Bara Pier passenger switch to travel by minivan for the second stage of the journey to Trang Railway Station. The distance by road from Pak Para Pier to Trang Railway Station is 104 km, which takes around 1 hour 45 minutes. The drop off point is in front of the main entrance to Trang Railway Station. Trang Railway Station is in the centre of Trang town near to several restaurants and a number of hotels.
