The journey with King Travel from Koh Muk to Trang starts with a hotel pick up transporting passengers to Koh Muk Pier, which is on the north east side of the island in Koh Muk’s main village. From Koh Muk Pier passengers travel in a wooden boat to Khuan Tung Ku Pier on the mainland. The distance travelled by sea is about 7 km which takes around 20 minutes. The type of wooden boat used is a Southern Thai style ‘longtail’ boat which has seating under a sun shade. Most passengers will find this part of the journey enjoyable, although a little bumpy.

On arrival at Khuan Tung Ku Pier passengers transfer to a minivan for the next stage of the journey to Trang Railway Station, which is located in Trang town centre. The distance by road from Khuan Tung Ku Pier to Trang Railway Station is 44 km, which takes approximately 50 minutes by minivan.
