Khao Sok National Park covers an area of 739 square kilometres, of which 165 square kilometres is taken up the man made Cheow Lan Lake. Khao Sok National Park has a rich diversity of plants, tree, animals, insects, fish and birds. There are wild tigers in the park as well as leopards, monkeys and elephants amongst other animals. The park is part of a bigger forest complex which covers over 5,000 square kilometres which gives ample room for the larger mammals to roam.
