To get to the place where the bus service to Phuket departs all you need to do is to leave the platform via any of the exits of Platform 1 and turn left. The departure point for bus services to Phuket is a small car park in front of the far end of Platform 1.
The car park has a row of cafes which open very early in the morning at time to coincide with the arrival of trains from Bangkok. Go to Wut Travel and show them your ticket then sit down at their cafe, have a drink and maybe breakfast, and wait to be called to board the bus to Phuket.
